- STEP 1 -

Cook the Sausage: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage and fennel seeds, and red pepper flakes, and cook until sausage is brown.

- STEP 2 -

Soften the Onions: Add the garlic and onion and cook for approximately 5 minutes. Stir often.

- STEP 3 -

Add the stock, tomato, and spices: Add the chicken stock, water, diced tomatoes with their juices, salt, pepper, basil, rosemary, and parsley.

- STEP 4 -

Cook the Gnocchi: Add gnocchi and cook for approximately 5 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in the spinach just prior to serving.
