Brown Sugar Cinnamon Simple Syrup

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions 

  • In a small saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Once the sugar is dissolved, let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool.
  • Once cooled, strain out the cinnamon sticks.
