Total Time 10 minutes

Equipment

  • Small Saucepan (1-2 Quarts)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Combine the cranberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture comes to a simmer.

  • Remove from heat and place a fine-mesh sieve over a heat-safe bowl or jar. Pour the mixture through the strainer, pressing gently on the cranberries with the back of a spoon to extract the liquid. Discard the cranberry solids.
