Winter Recipes

Cold weather calls for comforting meals that warm you from the inside out. We make big pots of Texas Chili that last us through the week, and slowly braised meats like Braised Duck Leg and Beef Osso Buco are favorites on the weekends.

Pasta becomes a regular weeknight staple since they are quick and easy. We’ll make Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, Pasta Carbonara, or Creamy Mushroom Pasta depending on what we’re craving, and when we want something richer, the Rigatoni al Forno or Lobster Truffle Mac and Cheese hit the spot. There is at least one big batch of Italian Gravy (the extra sauce freezes well).

Soup season is also in full swing. We’ll make Rotisserie Chicken Tortilla Soup, Bistro French Onion Soup, or Potato Leek Soup when we want something that fills us up without much effort.

And with the holidays in full swing, we always are always ready with a few cocktails like our Cranberry Manhattan, Cranberry French 75, and Christmas Holiday Margarita to keep things celebratory.
